Love is real, love is alive! Love is a person!
Love is God and God is love! Love is powerful!
And anything less than that is just a role play.
Until we experience God (who is love himself) and be loved, we cannot reflect or have love.
You have to have two things when loving someone:
- An Encounter
- A Relationship
To better understand this, let’s look at the beginning of the relationship between a man and a woman.
When a man ENCOUNTERS a woman, he strikes a conversation with her and begins to build on that conversation by spending more time with her. They get to know each other.
Same with the Lord! When we have an ENCOUNTER with him we now begin to build that relationship, and that’s the crux of the matter with our salvation. Salvation starts when we give our hearts to him.
Just like a woman gives her heart to the man she loves. She becomes vulnerable and begins to believe in him.
Key Scripture: (John 1:12 KJV)
Let’s look back at the man and woman:
After a while, the woman will begin to reciprocate the attention she is getting from the man.
She ACCEPTS him. What happens next?
A RELATIONSHIP will begin to start. This relationship is watered and nurtured every day.
Let’s go back to (John 1:12 KJV) which says “But as many have received Him…”
There are many people who will encounter God, but NOT receive him.
When we receive God that is when we give Him access anytime. From there he gives power. This power is the authorization to become his children.
The process to nurturing our relationship with Christ is not easy. It is a process BUT as long as our hearts are willing, he helps us.
Let’s go back to the scenario of the man and woman:
After the relationship between the man and woman forms, they cannot stop talking about that person. That’s how it is when we first have a relationship with Christ!
So the test is:
- How much time do I spend with the Lord?
- How much passion do I have about this person that I say I love?
- Do I desire to even stay with him?
- How much of him do I tell people?
- How much of him comes out of my mouth spontaneously?
- How much of the Lord is still in me?
When they have finally decided this is for life, what happens?
The man pops the question to the woman, “are you willing to live your life with me? They go to the altar before the Lord and get married.
The expectation is that the man puts his seed in the woman and at the appointed time, the seed is born. And the seed comes out looking like him in character or physical resemblance
That is how God designed it.
(Matthew 7:22) Many people will tell Jesus “I did this and that in your name” but he won’t accept that.
God will know if His seed is showing in you.
Do we have the seed of God inside of us?
(John 3:3-5) There is a seeing of the kingdom and the entering of the kingdom.
(Luke 1:34) God chose to put the seed of Him in Mary not because she was beautiful, but because her HEART was open to God.
It is the spirit of God that over takes us and plants the seed of sonship in us. That seed grows and transforms our spirits and authenticates us as sons of God.
Galatians 4:6-7 (TPT)
Nobody teaches us to know our Father. We know our own father because we are his seed.
To wrap it all up:
After we ENCOUNTER the Lord, we are to establish a RELATIONSHIP with him. When we connect with Him, his seed is established in us.
When we go outside people are able to identify Him in us. This seed of God in us is the foundation. That is the beginning of a relationship and revelation with the Lord.
