KINGDOM MINDSET

Here’s a Nugget for you to ponder on today. MINDSET aka Kingdom Mindset.

The Bible says:
Set your MIND and keep FOCUSED habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. COLOSSIANS 3:2 AMP

You know our minds enjoy the habit (if allowed) of wandering and pondering things too wonderful for it (Psalm 131:1).

We belong to The Kingdom of Christ, once we believe and accept Jesus’ Redemptive Work of The Cross.

The Apostle Paul shows us an example of having the heavenly mindset in Acts 20 (good read when you get a chance)…

BEGIN QUOTE!
[you know] how I did not shrink back in fear from telling you anything that was for your benefit, or from teaching you in public meetings, and from house to house, solemnly [and wholeheartedly] testifying to both Jews and Greeks, urging them to turn in repentance to God and [to have] faith in our Lord Jesus Christ [for salvation].

And now, compelled by the Spirit and obligated by my convictions, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit solemnly [and emphatically] affirms to me in city after city that imprisonment and suffering await me.

But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious, undeserved] grace [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life].
ACTS 20:20‭-‬24 AMP
END QUOTE

Okay…as seen from Apostle Paul’s mindset from above…he knew what he was going to face for the sake of the gospel, but he went ahead anyway.

When was the last time we endured any persecution for Christ? What value do we place on the surpassing worth of knowing Christ and making Him known? (Philippians 3:8)

If we are compelled by The Spirit and obligated by our convictions, are willing to take The Kingdom Business seriously? Are we willing to forsake all to be God’s burning torches!

We salute the missionaries, hail the emissaries, and give for the course, but are we willing to once in a while get our hands dirty by ministering to the meek and sharing the Gospel of Christ?

Sharing Jesus is a MINDSET! Sharing Jesus is a Lifestyle! Sharing Jesus is a privilege! There are believers who are not allowed to share or even mention The Name of Christ! There are believers who are not even allowed to meet in fellowship. There are believers having to daily deal with religious extremists! But God, The Extraordinary Strategist, always makes a way for His Word to reach and comfort His people especially those who don’t know Christ!

Dear Family, in the evening of our lives, may our prayer be like that of the Apostle Paul:

I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith [firmly guarding the gospel against error].
2 TIMOTHY 4:7 AMP

We stand today to prophesy that you will have the mindset to do more for Jesus!
